Elra Heus (born at 1965 in Alphen aan den Rijn, the Netherlands) lived for more then twelve years in the inspiring and historical city of Amersfoort. She followed several studies (e.g. portrait- and modelpainting to develop her talents). After a 10 years time out she started in 1997 oil-painting again and became a member of the Utrecht's artist's collective L'Art-ist'.
She had several exhibtions, e.g. the head-office of TNO, one of the largest research institutions in Europe and at the insurance company. In 2000 on request she painted live during the TNO run an artwork for the winner. Companies as well as private persons buy her work either from a collection or on commission. The mainly colourful paintings vary from abstract to figurative, but are always very recognisable because of the round shapes in her work. Leading by the spiritual emotions her works show an enormous variation. Besides painting she also makes sculptures and wallpaintings for home decoration.
